Bahamas Missions

The work of the churches of Christ on the Bahamian Island of Exuma began in 2002 with a group of university students, as a part of the Missions Ministry of the Ringgold Chruch of Christ.  In June of 2003 a second team of university students spent ten days working with the students of several schools in Exuma.
In early 2003 the Steve McQueen family agreed to move to Exuma to establish a congregation.  Steve is a graduate of the Jamaica School of Preaching in Kingston, Jamaica.  It was while in Jamaica that he met Suzette, the beautiful lady who would become his wife.  In July of 2003, the McQueens (Steve, Suzette, Stephen, Jade and Savanna) moved to Exuma from Nassau where Steve had previously served as a minister for the Highbury Park church.  The church in Exuma now meets each week in a facility provided at no cost by the Exuma Educational Resource Center.
